  [TFDA] Since 2024-07-01 imported general cosmetics must be product-listed before sale, keep a Product Information File, be imported by a locally registered firm and carry Chinese labelling. Specific-purpose cosmetics (sunscreen, whitening, hair dye) need a licence instead.

  [NMPA] Imported general cosmetics need NMPA filing; special cosmetics (dye, perm, whitening, sunscreen, anti-spot) need registration (months to a year). A domestic Responsible Person, a safety assessment dossier and Chinese labelling are mandatory; the animal-testing waiver requires a GMP certificate and a safety assessment.
